We are looking for a deadline and detail-oriented Chief Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing team.  The Chief Fire Protection Engineer will be a key player in promoting our company and expanding our fire sprinkler service offerings.  The person selected for this role will collaborate with our team to ensure pre-construction layout compliance, value engineering efforts, licensing, permitting, and QC.  We’re seeking an individual with fire protection contracting experience, exceptional leadership ability, and strong communication skills.  This position can be remote, hybrid, and/or based out of our main office in Carrollton, GA.

Responsibilities
  • Define fire protection parameters for the pre-construction team on design build pursuits
  • Collaborate with pre-construction team on value engineering, scope changes, and code compliance issues during the bid process
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and professional representation and responsiveness for prospects and customers
  • Obtain and hold contractor and engineering licenses for all states needed
  • Review and approve all final shop drawings. Assist the design team during the design phase
  • Interact with clients and advise them during all phases of the project
  • Work with project management and make site visits to ensure QC and compliance standards

Qualifications
  • Professional Fire Protection Engineering License (FPE)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Strong ability to read and understand building plans and blueprints
  • Ability to perform high level mathematical functions and calculations
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
  • Active role and participation in NFPA/NFSA/AFSA preferred
  • NICET Certification preferred
